Thanks to a new drug introduced to Brazil, a criminal group known as the "Red Empire" gained enough profit to seize control of the entire country, expanding its influence into politics, media, police, and many other spheres. As a result, nearly 90% of all other criminal groups were either destroyed or forced to join the "Red Empire."
Years later, however, something was about to plunge Rio de Janeiro into chaos.
