Reed Hawthorne is a police detective in Norwich City. The story begins when his sister Juno writes to him about their father's death. Reed returns to his childhood home for the first time in years and is confronted with a dramatic situation. Unable to leave his sister in such chaos, he decides to take her with him - leaving behind their drug-addicted mother.
