Every autumn your hometown celebrates a festival to remember the "great war for the land of our fathers". During that festival all able men of your town equip themselves with green suits and wooden rifles, drink twice their limit and parade through the streets in as orderly a way as they still can. Unless it is raining cats and dogs, their route is lined by everybody else who cheer and sometimes even sing. After much marching and celebration the drunken population frollicks at the fairy, where the manfolk try to impress the womanfolk by winning prices at the sideshow games. Since most children in town are fathered during the fair, the technique seems reliable.
